Ranveer Singh would be the first Bollywood actor to play a bisexual character!
Yes, you heard it right! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is undoubtedly the most awaited film of the year. The magnum opus features the stellar star cast of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Ever since the film was announced, the film has been surprising us.Initially, we got to know that it is Shahid and not Ranveer who will romance Deepika in the film, and then we recently learned that Aditi Rao Hydari plays the love interest and one of the wives of Ranveer in the film.
Initially, we got to know that it is Shahid and not Ranveer who will romance Deepika in the film, and then we recently learned that Aditi Rao Hydari plays the love interest and one of the wives of Ranveer in the film.
And recently there are reports that Ranveer’s character will be bisexual in the film. If these reports are to be believed, Bhansali will not only showcase Alauddin Khilji’s (played by Ranveer) fascination and attraction towards Rani Padmavati (played by Deepika) but also towards his slave-general, Malik Kafur. The reports further suggest that it is none other than the Neerja fame actor Jim Sarbh who will play the role of Malik Kafur.
Ranveer had earlier revealed on a chat show that he wouldn’t mind playing such roles if the script demands him to do so.
In this case, Ranveer Singh would be the first Bollywood actor who would take this kind of a risk. And we must say, it will be a visual delight for the fans to watch their favourite actor doing something like this.
Well, we are also super-excited to watch “Padmavati”. Ain’t you?

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Tweet Is A Proof That Even Bollywood Could Not Escape From Apartheid
National Award Winner Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known for his impeccable performances in Bollywood films like Talaash, Gangs Of Wasseypur, Kahaani, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Raees and Haraamkhor among others. He is counted among the most versatile actors of Bollywood. His journey inspires all the newcomers to try their luck in Bollywood without having a big Bollywood ‘khandaan’ backing them. But, his journey of stardom brings out the true face of the Hindi film industry at the forefront. And this is what our very own Faizal Khan of Bollywood is probably talking about in his recent obscure tweet.
Late on Monday evening, Nawazuddin took to his twitter handle and wrote, “Thank U 4 making me realise dat I cannot b paired along wid d fair & handsome bcz I m dark & not good looking, but I never focus on that.”
People are now curious to know the reason behind this tweet about biases in the film industry on the basis of skin color. As last year, Nawaz claimed that there is no racism in the industry. “I think there is no racism in this film industry. They are only in need of talent though it takes time, if you are talented you will get your due. I am thankful to be part of this industry,” he stated in an earlier interview.
In the early days of his long career, Nawazuddin was a TV reject and was not more than a junior artist on a film set. He even agreed to do a one-minute cameo role in Aamir Khan starrer Sarfarosh released in 1999, hoping that the “one-minute role would lead to two-minute ones.”
Varun, Saif & Karan Johar Took A Dig On Kangana Ranaut Nepotism Statement In IIFA 2017
Filmmaker Karan Johar, along with actors Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan raked up the nepotism debate once again at the IIFA Awards event on Sunday night.
Karan and Saif, were hosting the event and revisited the much-talked about issue which started in Bollywood when “Queen” star Kangana Ranaut branded Karan as a “flagbearer of nepotism” on his chat show “Koffee With Karan”.
When Varun joined the two actors on the stage at the Metlife Stadium to receive the Best Performance in a Comic Role for “Dishoom”, Saif joked that the actor had made it big in the industry because of his father, director David Dhawan.
“You are here because of your pappa,” Saif quipped.
Varun said: “And you’re here because of your mummy (veteran actress Sharmila Tagore).”
Karan then promptly added: “I am here because of my pappa (late filmmaker Yash Johar).”
They then said in unison: “Nepotism rocks”.
Varun then didn’t leave a chance to take a potshot at Karan saying: “There was a song in your film… ‘Bole choodiyan, bole kangana.”
Karan, with his quick wit, then commented: “Kangana naa hi bole toh achha hai… Kangana bahut bolti hai. (It’s better Kangana doesn’t say anything, she talks a lot.)”
At the IIFA Awards night, actors Taapsee Pannu and “The Black Prince” actor Satinder Sartaaj didn’t miss a chance to ask Karan if they could get a role in his films or feature on “Koffee With Karan” respectively.
“It is my dream to be on ‘Koffee With Karan”, sir. Ek baar zarur bulaana (Call me at least),” Sartaaj said.

Director Anurag Basu Chopped Off Govinda’s Part In Jagga Jasoos
As per a report, director Anurag Basu stated that Govinda will not be a part of his upcoming film Jagga Jasoos anymore. The director said that Govinda’s scenes had to be chopped off in the final editing of the film because some changes are required in the film’s plot and it was their huge loss. “I have shot a couple of days with him in the first schedule. Then there were changes in the story and other things. But Govinda isn’t in the film, his part isn’t there. It was very kind of him to agree when I requested him for the guest appearance. But it’s our loss that he isn’t there.”
A still from Jagga Jasoos featuring Govinda and lead pair Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif went viral couple of days before. The film still revitalized the debate whether Govinda will be seen in the film or not, which will hit the screens on July 14.
Earlier there were reports that Govinda was dropped from the project after he demanded changes in the script and because of his “unprofessional behaviour” on the film’s sets. Amitabh Bachchan and Jackie Shroff were then suggested for the Govinda’s part. According to a source, Govinda’s team tried to convince Anurag Basu to retain the actor’s scenes in the film as he has played the role of Jagga’s (Ranbir Kapoor) foster father.
BFF Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan – Giving us major friendship goals
After two decades, it was a bliss to watch Bollywood’s ‘Karan-Arjun’ sharing a screen space in Kabir Khan’s directorial ‘Tubelight’.
While SRK was very compassionate for a cameo in Salman’s flick, Salman is all set to return the favour by shaking a leg in one of Shah Rukh’s dance numbers for Aanand L. Rai’s dwarf film with SRK.
Salman Khan seems to be quite busy with ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, but being the man of his words, he went out of his way and somehow managed to steal some time for a shoot of SRK’s song yesterday at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai.
Salman and Shah Rukh will shoot together for this number which is being choreographed by Remo D’Souza over three days.
But what’s come as a crimine is that King Khan surprised his BFF Salman with a luxurious car, as a token of appreciation.
As per reports, the newly launched car is one of its kind and nobody owns it currently in the country. Salman was amazed by SRK’s sweet gesture, as he wasn’t expecting this coming from Shah Rukh.
The ‘Khans’ are busy giving us major friendship goals and we just can’t wait to see them dancing together on the silver screen.

Copyright infringement case on Anushka Sharma’s ‘Phillauri’ DISMISSED
Just three days before Phillauri’s release, the makers of the film including producer Anushka Sharma found themselves in a legal trouble. Dashrath Rathod, a Bhojpuri actor-producer, filed a copyright-infringement case
against the film in the Bombay High Court. However, the court has instead, slapped a penalty of Rs 5 lakh on Rathod, as they did not find any prima facie case. They have rejected his plea for a stay on the film, but Rathod has filed an appeal against the order. The complainant had claimed that Phillauri is a copy of his 2013 trilingual film Mangal Phera.
Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha’s Ittefaq to be a songless film
Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha started shooting for the Ittefaq remake earlier this month.
While a portion of the thriller has already been canned, we hear the team will wrap the film in a start to finish schedule.
Says a source, “Ittefaq doesn’t have songs and it’s a murder mystery with a twist. So the makers thought that making it long will work against it. Plus, there are no songs. So the makers have taken bulk dates from Sid and Sonakshi to finish the film as soon as possible.”
We had already told you that this film will have a runtime less than two hours, with no songs but just a promotional video.
kapil Sharma-Sunil Grover fight: Krushna Abhishek takes up for his arch rival for the FIRST time
While Kapil Sharma has apologised to Sunil Grover for hurting him in the fight that broke out when the former in an intoxicated state abused the latter, he has found an unlikely ally in his arch rival Krushna Abhishek! Some people are of the view that Kapil’s success is making him do things out of turn, but Krushna feels otherwise.
“I won’t say Kapil has become too big or success has gone to his head. It’s just that even the small things he does are being blown out of proportion. I have worked with Kapil for five years in Comedy Circus and I know him very well — his good and bad points — and he knows mine. Sunil and Kapil are good friends and friends fight. Right now, Kapil is doing well, his show is a success so people are making a big deal out of it. Kapil is talented and has been taking his entire team along with him for four years now, which is not a small thing. Also, Sunil had quit Kapil’s show earlier, too but went back. As I said, two friends can fight after drinking, on the sets, on creative issues, on a dinner table or at home and there’s nothing unusual about it.”
